faded pictures help her feel like someones there

she keeps all these scrapbooks piled up on the floor
cuttings are the debris of this game
idolising pictures of these stars dead long ago
wishing in her head she was the same...

like they cut into her wrists not long ago
these paperscissors
are rusted up with age...
remnants of the past she wont let go

She has photographs that dont belong to her
labelled like she knew the peoples names
photographs of sunsets she has never seen
trying to believe she did in vain

the walls are staining yellow now with age
but you this wouldnt be the end
she fills in the empty places faster now
because its so much easier to just pretend
